Al-Araf 7:118

قَالَ أَلْقُوا۟ ۖ فَلَمَّآ أَلْقَوْا۟ سَحَرُوٓا۟ أَعْيُنَ ٱلنَّاسِ وَٱسْتَرْهَبُوهُمْ وَجَآءُو بِسِحْرٍ عَظِيمٍ

7:116 — He said, "Throw," and when they threw, they bewitched the eyes of the people and struck terror into them, and they presented a great [feat of] magic.

وَأَوْحَيْنَآ إِلَىٰ مُوسَىٰٓ أَنْ أَلْقِ عَصَاكَ ۖ فَإِذَا هِىَ تَلْقَفُ مَا يَأْفِكُونَ

7:117 — And We inspired to Moses, "Throw your staff," and at once it devoured what they were falsifying.

فَوَقَعَ ٱلْحَقُّ وَبَطَلَ مَا كَانُوا۟ يَعْمَلُونَ

Thus the truth was upheld, and the falsehood that they practised was exposed.

So the truth was proved and their works were disproved.

So the truth came to pass, and false was proved what they were doing.

Thus the truth prevailed, and that which they had brought vanished.

Thus truth was confirmed, and all that they did was made of no effect.

So the truth came to pass, and what they were producing came to nothing.

Thus was the truth established, and their doings proved in vain.

Thus truth was confirmed, and all that they did was made of no effect.

Thus was the Truth vindicated and that which they were doing was made vain.

So the truth came out, and what they had wrought was reduced to naught.

Transliteration

FawaqaAAa alhaqqu wabatala ma kanoo yaAAmaloona

فَغُلِبُوا۟ هُنَالِكَ وَٱنقَلَبُوا۟ صَـٰغِرِينَ

7:119 — And Pharaoh and his people were overcome right there and became debased.

وَأُلْقِىَ ٱلسَّحَرَةُ سَـٰجِدِينَ

7:120 — And the magicians fell down in prostration [to Allah].
