Adh-Dhariyat 51:25

فَوَرَبِّ ٱلسَّمَآءِ وَٱلْأَرْضِ إِنَّهُۥ لَحَقٌّ مِّثْلَ مَآ أَنَّكُمْ تَنطِقُونَ

51:23 — Then by the Lord of the heaven and earth, indeed, it is truth - just as [sure as] it is that you are speaking.

هَلْ أَتَىٰكَ حَدِيثُ ضَيْفِ إِبْرَٰهِيمَ ٱلْمُكْرَمِينَ

51:24 — Has there reached you the story of the honored guests of Abraham? -

إِذْ دَخَلُوا۟ عَلَيْهِ فَقَالُوا۟ سَلَـٰمًا ۖ قَالَ سَلَـٰمٌ قَوْمٌ مُّنكَرُونَ

Ahmed Ali

When they came to him, they said: "Peace." He answered: "Peace." They were a people he did not recognise.

When they came to him and said, “Peace”; he answered, “Peace”; and thought, “These people are not familiar.”

When they entered unto him, saying 'Peace!' he said 'Peace! You are a people unknown to me.'

When they came in Unto him, and said:'peace!' he said: 'peace'! - people unknown.

When they came in to him, and said, "Salam, (peace be upon you)!" He answered; "Salam, (peace be upon you)," and said: "You are a people unknown to me,"

When they entered upon him and said, "[We greet you with] peace." He answered, "[And upon you] peace, [you are] a people unknown.

When they came to him saying, "Peace be with you," he replied to their greeting in the same manner and said to himself, "These are a strange people".

Shakir

When they entered upon him, they said: Peace. Peace, said he, a strange people.

Wahiduddin Khan

When they came to him they said, "Peace!" He answered, "Peace!" [saying to himself]. "They are strangers."

Yusuf Ali

Behold, they entered his presence, and said: "Peace!" He said, "Peace!" (and thought, "These seem) unusual people."

Transliteration

Ith dakhaloo AAalayhi faqaloo salaman qala salamun qawmun munkaroona

فَرَاغَ إِلَىٰٓ أَهْلِهِۦ فَجَآءَ بِعِجْلٍ سَمِينٍ

51:26 — Then he went to his family and came with a fat [roasted] calf

فَقَرَّبَهُۥٓ إِلَيْهِمْ قَالَ أَلَا تَأْكُلُونَ

51:27 — And placed it near them; he said, "Will you not eat?"
