Al-Furqan 25:29

وَيَوْمَ يَعَضُّ ٱلظَّالِمُ عَلَىٰ يَدَيْهِ يَقُولُ يَـٰلَيْتَنِى ٱتَّخَذْتُ مَعَ ٱلرَّسُولِ سَبِيلًا

25:27 — And the Day the wrongdoer will bite on his hands [in regret] he will say, "Oh, I wish I had taken with the Messenger a way.

يَـٰوَيْلَتَىٰ لَيْتَنِى لَمْ أَتَّخِذْ فُلَانًا خَلِيلًا

25:28 — Oh, woe to me! I wish I had not taken that one as a friend.

لَّقَدْ أَضَلَّنِى عَنِ ٱلذِّكْرِ بَعْدَ إِذْ جَآءَنِى ۗ وَكَانَ ٱلشَّيْطَـٰنُ لِلْإِنسَـٰنِ خَذُولًا

Ahmed Ali

He led me astray from the Warning after it had come to me. Satan always betrays man.

Ahmed Raza Khan

“He indeed led me astray from the advice that had come to me”; and Satan deserts man, leaving him unaided.

He indeed led me astray from the Remembrance, after it had come to me; Satan is ever a forsaker of men.'

Transliteration

Laqad adallanee AAani alththikri baAAda ith jaanee wakana alshshaytanu lilinsani khathoolan

وَقَالَ ٱلرَّسُولُ يَـٰرَبِّ إِنَّ قَوْمِى ٱتَّخَذُوا۟ هَـٰذَا ٱلْقُرْءَانَ مَهْجُورًا

25:30 — And the Messenger has said, "O my Lord, indeed my people have taken this Qur'an as [a thing] abandoned."

وَكَذَٰلِكَ جَعَلْنَا لِكُلِّ نَبِىٍّ عَدُوًّا مِّنَ ٱلْمُجْرِمِينَ ۗ وَكَفَىٰ بِرَبِّكَ هَادِيًا وَنَصِيرًا

25:31 — And thus have We made for every prophet an enemy from among the criminals. But sufficient is your Lord as a guide and a helper.
