Al-Mu'minun 23:82

وَهُوَ ٱلَّذِى يُحْىِۦ وَيُمِيتُ وَلَهُ ٱخْتِلَـٰفُ ٱلَّيْلِ وَٱلنَّهَارِ ۚ أَفَلَا تَعْقِلُونَ

23:80 — And it is He who gives life and causes death, and His is the alternation of the night and the day. Then will you not reason?

بَلْ قَالُوا۟ مِثْلَ مَا قَالَ ٱلْأَوَّلُونَ

23:81 — Rather, they say like what the former peoples said.

قَالُوٓا۟ أَءِذَا مِتْنَا وَكُنَّا تُرَابًا وَعِظَـٰمًا أَءِنَّا لَمَبْعُوثُونَ

They say: "When we are dead and turned to dust and bones, shall we be raised to life again?

They say, “Will we, when we die and turn into dust and bones, be raised again?”

They said, 'What, when we are dead and become dust and bones, shall we be indeed raised up?

Transliteration

Qaloo aitha mitna wakunna turaban waAAithaman ainna lamabAAoothoona

لَقَدْ وُعِدْنَا نَحْنُ وَءَابَآؤُنَا هَـٰذَا مِن قَبْلُ إِنْ هَـٰذَآ إِلَّآ أَسَـٰطِيرُ ٱلْأَوَّلِينَ

23:83 — We have been promised this, we and our forefathers, before; this is not but legends of the former peoples."

قُل لِّمَنِ ٱلْأَرْضُ وَمَن فِيهَآ إِن كُنتُمْ تَعْلَمُونَ

23:84 — Say, [O Muhammad], "To whom belongs the earth and whoever is in it, if you should know?"
