Al-Mu'minun 23:62

وَٱلَّذِينَ يُؤْتُونَ مَآ ءَاتَوا۟ وَّقُلُوبُهُمْ وَجِلَةٌ أَنَّهُمْ إِلَىٰ رَبِّهِمْ رَٰجِعُونَ

23:60 — And they who give what they give while their hearts are fearful because they will be returning to their Lord -

أُو۟لَـٰٓئِكَ يُسَـٰرِعُونَ فِى ٱلْخَيْرَٰتِ وَهُمْ لَهَا سَـٰبِقُونَ

23:61 — It is those who hasten to good deeds, and they outstrip [others] therein.

وَلَا نُكَلِّفُ نَفْسًا إِلَّا وُسْعَهَا ۖ وَلَدَيْنَا كِتَـٰبٌ يَنطِقُ بِٱلْحَقِّ ۚ وَهُمْ لَا يُظْلَمُونَ

Ahmed Ali

We do not burden a soul beyond capacity, for We have a record that tells the truth. No wrong will be done to any one.

Ahmed Raza Khan

And We do not burden any soul beyond its capacity, and with Us is a Book* that speaks the truth, and they will not be wronged. (* The preserved tablet or the record of one’s deeds.)

Arberry

We charge not any soul save to its capacity, and with Us is a Book speaking truth, and they shall not be wronged.

And We task not any soul except according to its capacity, and with Us is a book speaking with truth, and they will not be wronged.

And We tax not any person except according to his capacity, and with Us is a Record which speaks the truth, and they will not be wronged.

We never burden any soul beyond its capacity. And with Us is a record that tells the truth, and they will not be wronged.

We do not lay a burden on anyone beyond his capacity. We have a Book with Us that speaks the truth (about everyone); and they shall in no wise be wronged.

And We task not any person except according to his capacity, and with Us is a Record which speaks the truth, and they will not be wronged.

And we task not any soul beyond its scope, and with Us is a Record which speaketh the truth, and they will not be wronged.

Saheeh International

And We charge no soul except [with that within] its capacity, and with Us is a record which speaks with truth; and they will not be wronged.

Sarwar

We do not impose on any soul what is beyond its capacity. We have the Book which speaks the truth and no injustice will be done to it.

Shakir

And We do not lay on any soul a burden except to the extent of its ability, and with Us is a book which speaks the truth, and they shall not be dealt with unjustly.

Wahiduddin Khan

We charge no soul with more than it can bear. We have a record which clearly shows the truth and they will not be wronged.

Yusuf Ali

On no soul do We place a burden greater than it can bear: before Us is a record which clearly shows the truth: they will never be wronged.

Transliteration

Wala nukallifu nafsan illa wusAAaha waladayna kitabun yantiqu bialhaqqi wahum la yuthlamoona

بَلْ قُلُوبُهُمْ فِى غَمْرَةٍ مِّنْ هَـٰذَا وَلَهُمْ أَعْمَـٰلٌ مِّن دُونِ ذَٰلِكَ هُمْ لَهَا عَـٰمِلُونَ

23:63 — But their hearts are covered with confusion over this, and they have [evil] deeds besides disbelief which they are doing,

حَتَّىٰٓ إِذَآ أَخَذْنَا مُتْرَفِيهِم بِٱلْعَذَابِ إِذَا هُمْ يَجْـَٔرُونَ

23:64 — Until when We seize their affluent ones with punishment, at once they are crying [to Allah] for help.
