Al-Anbiya 21:66

فَرَجَعُوٓا۟ إِلَىٰٓ أَنفُسِهِمْ فَقَالُوٓا۟ إِنَّكُمْ أَنتُمُ ٱلظَّـٰلِمُونَ

21:64 — So they returned to [blaming] themselves and said [to each other], "Indeed, you are the wrongdoers."

ثُمَّ نُكِسُوا۟ عَلَىٰ رُءُوسِهِمْ لَقَدْ عَلِمْتَ مَا هَـٰٓؤُلَآءِ يَنطِقُونَ

21:65 — Then they reversed themselves, [saying], "You have already known that these do not speak!"

قَالَ أَفَتَعْبُدُونَ مِن دُونِ ٱللَّهِ مَا لَا يَنفَعُكُمْ شَيْـًٔا وَلَا يَضُرُّكُمْ

Ahmed Ali

(So Abraham) said: "Then why do you worship something apart from God that cannot profit you or do you harm?

Ahmed Raza Khan

He said, “What! You worship, instead of Allah, one that neither benefits you nor harms you?”

Arberry

He said, 'What, and do you serve, apart from God, that which profits you nothing; neither hurts you?

Daryabadi

He said: worship ye, then, beside Allah, that which profiteth you not at all, nor it hurteth you

[Ibrahim (Abraham)] said: "Do you then worship besides Allah, things that can neither profit you, nor harm you?

He said, “Do you worship, instead of God, what can neither benefit you in anything, nor harm you?

Abraham said: "Do you, then, worship beside Allah a thing that can neither benefit you nor hurt you?

He said: "Do you then worship besides Allah, things that can neither profit you nor harm you"

He said, "Then do you worship instead of Allah that which does not benefit you at all or harm you?

He said: What! do you then serve besides Allah what brings you not any benefit at all, nor does it harm you?

Abraham said, "So, do you worship something instead of God that can neither benefit you nor harm you?

Yusuf Ali

(Abraham) said, "Do ye then worship, besides Allah, things that can neither be of any good to you nor do you harm?

Transliteration

Qala afataAAbudoona min dooni Allahi ma la yanfaAAukum shayan wala yadurrukum

أُفٍّ لَّكُمْ وَلِمَا تَعْبُدُونَ مِن دُونِ ٱللَّهِ ۖ أَفَلَا تَعْقِلُونَ

21:67 — Uff to you and to what you worship instead of Allah. Then will you not use reason?"

قَالُوا۟ حَرِّقُوهُ وَٱنصُرُوٓا۟ ءَالِهَتَكُمْ إِن كُنتُمْ فَـٰعِلِينَ

21:68 — They said, "Burn him and support your gods - if you are to act."
