Al-Anbiya 21:10

وَمَا جَعَلْنَـٰهُمْ جَسَدًا لَّا يَأْكُلُونَ ٱلطَّعَامَ وَمَا كَانُوا۟ خَـٰلِدِينَ

21:8 — And We did not make the prophets forms not eating food, nor were they immortal [on earth].

ثُمَّ صَدَقْنَـٰهُمُ ٱلْوَعْدَ فَأَنجَيْنَـٰهُمْ وَمَن نَّشَآءُ وَأَهْلَكْنَا ٱلْمُسْرِفِينَ

21:9 — Then We fulfilled for them the promise, and We saved them and whom We willed and destroyed the transgressors.

لَقَدْ أَنزَلْنَآ إِلَيْكُمْ كِتَـٰبًا فِيهِ ذِكْرُكُمْ ۖ أَفَلَا تَعْقِلُونَ

Ahmed Ali

We have sent down to you a Book which has a reminder for you. Do you not understand?

Ahmed Raza Khan

We have indeed sent down towards you a Book, in which is your repute; so do you not have sense?

Arberry

Now We have sent down to you a Book wherein is your Remembrance; will you not understand?

Daryabadi

And assuredly We have sent down unto you a Book wherein is admonition for you; will ye not then reflect?

Hilali & Khan

Indeed, We have sent down for you (O mankind) a Book, (the Quran) in which there is Dhikrukum, (your Reminder or an honour for you i.e. honour for the one who follows the teaching of the Quran and acts on its orders). Will you not then understand?

Itani

We have sent down to you a Book, containing your message. Do you not understand?

Maududi

We have bestowed upon you a Book that mentions you. Do you not understand?

Indeed, We have sent down for you a Book in which there is Dhikrukum. Will you not then understand

We have revealed for you (O men!) a book in which is a Message for you: will ye not then understand?

Transliteration

Laqad anzalna ilaykum kitaban feehi thikrukum afala taAAqiloona

وَكَمْ قَصَمْنَا مِن قَرْيَةٍ كَانَتْ ظَالِمَةً وَأَنشَأْنَا بَعْدَهَا قَوْمًا ءَاخَرِينَ

21:11 — And how many a city which was unjust have We shattered and produced after it another people.

فَلَمَّآ أَحَسُّوا۟ بَأْسَنَآ إِذَا هُم مِّنْهَا يَرْكُضُونَ

21:12 — And when its inhabitants perceived Our punishment, at once they fled from it.
