An-Nahl 16:53

وَقَالَ ٱللَّهُ لَا تَتَّخِذُوٓا۟ إِلَـٰهَيْنِ ٱثْنَيْنِ ۖ إِنَّمَا هُوَ إِلَـٰهٌ وَٰحِدٌ ۖ فَإِيَّـٰىَ فَٱرْهَبُونِ

16:51 — And Allah has said, "Do not take for yourselves two deities. He is but one God, so fear only Me."

وَلَهُۥ مَا فِى ٱلسَّمَـٰوَٰتِ وَٱلْأَرْضِ وَلَهُ ٱلدِّينُ وَاصِبًا ۚ أَفَغَيْرَ ٱللَّهِ تَتَّقُونَ

16:52 — And to Him belongs whatever is in the heavens and the earth, and to Him is [due] worship constantly. Then is it other than Allah that you fear?

وَمَا بِكُم مِّن نِّعْمَةٍ فَمِنَ ٱللَّهِ ۖ ثُمَّ إِذَا مَسَّكُمُ ٱلضُّرُّ فَإِلَيْهِ تَجْـَٔرُونَ

Ahmed Ali

Whatsoever the blessings you enjoy are surely from God, and when in trouble you turn to Him in supplication.

Ahmed Raza Khan

And whatever blessings you have, are all from Allah – then whenever misfortune reaches you, towards Him only do you seek refuge.

Arberry

Whatsoever blessing you have, it comes from God; then when affliction visits you it is unto Him that you groan.

Daryabadi

And whatsoever of favours is with you is from Allah; then when distress toucheth you, unto Him ye cry out.

Hilali & Khan

And whatever of blessings and good things you have, it is from Allah. Then, when harm touches you, unto Him you cry aloud for help.

Itani

Whatever blessing you have is from God. And when harm touches you, it is to Him that you groan.

Maududi

Every bounty that you enjoy is from Allah; and whenever any misfortune strikes you, it is to Him that you cry for the removal of your distress.

Mubarakpuri

And whatever of blessings and good things you have, it is from Allah. Then, when harm touches you, unto Him you cry aloud for help.

Pickthall

And whatever of comfort ye enjoy, it is from Allah. Then, when misfortune reacheth you, unto Him ye cry for help.

Qarai

Whatever blessing you have is from Allah, and when a distress befalls you, you make entreaties to Him.

Qaribullah & Darwish

Whatever favor you have is from Allah. Whenever you are afflicted you groan to Him.

Saheeh International

And whatever you have of favor - it is from Allah. Then when adversity touches you, to Him you cry for help.

Sarwar

Whatever bounties you have are from God. When hardship befalls you, you begin to cry out to Him.

Shakir

And whatever favor is (bestowed) on you it is from Allah; then when evil afflicts you, to Him do you cry for aid.

Wahiduddin Khan

Whatever blessing you have is from God, and to Him you turn for help when distress befalls you,

Yusuf Ali

And ye have no good thing but is from Allah: and moreover, when ye are touched by distress, unto Him ye cry with groans;

Transliteration

Wama bikum min niAAmatin famina Allahi thumma itha massakumu alddurru failayhi tajaroona

ثُمَّ إِذَا كَشَفَ ٱلضُّرَّ عَنكُمْ إِذَا فَرِيقٌ مِّنكُم بِرَبِّهِمْ يُشْرِكُونَ

16:54 — Then when He removes the adversity from you, at once a party of you associates others with their Lord

لِيَكْفُرُوا۟ بِمَآ ءَاتَيْنَـٰهُمْ ۚ فَتَمَتَّعُوا۟ ۖ فَسَوْفَ تَعْلَمُونَ

16:55 — So they will deny what We have given them. Then enjoy yourselves, for you are going to know.
