An-Nahl 16:51

وَلِلَّهِ يَسْجُدُ مَا فِى ٱلسَّمَـٰوَٰتِ وَمَا فِى ٱلْأَرْضِ مِن دَآبَّةٍ وَٱلْمَلَـٰٓئِكَةُ وَهُمْ لَا يَسْتَكْبِرُونَ

16:49 — And to Allah prostrates whatever is in the heavens and whatever is on the earth of creatures, and the angels [as well], and they are not arrogant.

يَخَافُونَ رَبَّهُم مِّن فَوْقِهِمْ وَيَفْعَلُونَ مَا يُؤْمَرُونَ ۩

16:50 — They fear their Lord above them, and they do what they are commanded.

وَقَالَ ٱللَّهُ لَا تَتَّخِذُوٓا۟ إِلَـٰهَيْنِ ٱثْنَيْنِ ۖ إِنَّمَا هُوَ إِلَـٰهٌ وَٰحِدٌ ۖ فَإِيَّـٰىَ فَٱرْهَبُونِ

Ahmed Ali

God says: "Do not take to two gods, for there is only one God. So fear Me."

Ahmed Raza Khan

And Allah has proclaimed, “Do not ascribe two Gods; indeed He is the only One God; therefore fear Me alone.”

Arberry

God says: 'Take not to you two gods. He is only One God; so have awe of Me.'

Daryabadi

And Allah hath said: take not two gods; He is only One God so Me alone, Me dread.

Hilali & Khan

And Allah said (O mankind!): "Take not ilahain (two gods in worship, etc.). Verily, He (Allah) is (the) only One Ilah (God). Then, fear Me (Allah) much [and Me (Alone), i.e. be away from all kinds of sins and evil deeds that Allah has forbidden and do all that Allah has ordained and worship none but Allah].

Itani

God has said: “Do not take two gods; He is only One God; so fear only Me.”

Maududi

Allah has commanded: "Do not take two gods; for He is but One God. So fear Me alone."

Mubarakpuri

And Allah said "Do not worship two gods. Indeed, He (Allah) is only One God. Then fear Me Alone.

Pickthall

Allah hath said: Choose not two gods. There is only One Allah. So of Me, Me only, be in awe.

Qarai

Allah has said, ‘Do not worship two gods. Indeed He is the One God, so be in awe of Me [alone].’

Qaribullah & Darwish

Allah says: 'Do not take to yourself two gods. He is only One God; so have awe of Me'

Saheeh International

And Allah has said, "Do not take for yourselves two deities. He is but one God, so fear only Me."

Sarwar

God says, "Do not worship two gods. There is only One God. Have fear of Me".

Shakir

And Allah has said: Take not two gods, He is only one Allah; so of Me alone should you be afraid.

Wahiduddin Khan

God says, "Do not take two gods. He is only One God. So fear Me alone."

Yusuf Ali

Allah has said: "Take not (for worship) two gods: for He is just One Allah: then fear Me (and Me alone)."

Transliteration

Waqala Allahu la tattakhithoo ilahayni ithnayni innama huwa ilahun wahidun faiyyaya fairhabooni

وَلَهُۥ مَا فِى ٱلسَّمَـٰوَٰتِ وَٱلْأَرْضِ وَلَهُ ٱلدِّينُ وَاصِبًا ۚ أَفَغَيْرَ ٱللَّهِ تَتَّقُونَ

16:52 — And to Him belongs whatever is in the heavens and the earth, and to Him is [due] worship constantly. Then is it other than Allah that you fear?

وَمَا بِكُم مِّن نِّعْمَةٍ فَمِنَ ٱللَّهِ ۖ ثُمَّ إِذَا مَسَّكُمُ ٱلضُّرُّ فَإِلَيْهِ تَجْـَٔرُونَ

16:53 — And whatever you have of favor - it is from Allah. Then when adversity touches you, to Him you cry for help.
