Az-Zukhruf 43:87

وَتَبَارَكَ ٱلَّذِى لَهُۥ مُلْكُ ٱلسَّمَـٰوَٰتِ وَٱلْأَرْضِ وَمَا بَيْنَهُمَا وَعِندَهُۥ عِلْمُ ٱلسَّاعَةِ وَإِلَيْهِ تُرْجَعُونَ

43:85 — And blessed is He to whom belongs the dominion of the heavens and the earth and whatever is between them and with whom is knowledge of the Hour and to whom you will be returned.

وَلَا يَمْلِكُ ٱلَّذِينَ يَدْعُونَ مِن دُونِهِ ٱلشَّفَـٰعَةَ إِلَّا مَن شَهِدَ بِٱلْحَقِّ وَهُمْ يَعْلَمُونَ

43:86 — And those they invoke besides Him do not possess [power of] intercession; but only those who testify to the truth [can benefit], and they know.

وَلَئِن سَأَلْتَهُم مَّنْ خَلَقَهُمْ لَيَقُولُنَّ ٱللَّهُ ۖ فَأَنَّىٰ يُؤْفَكُونَ

Ahmed Ali

If you ask them who created them, they will answer: "God." How then can they turn away?

Ahmed Raza Khan

And if you ask them as to Who created them, they will surely answer “Allah” – so where are they reverting?

Arberry

If thou askest them, 'Who created you?' they will say, 'God.' How then are they perverted?

And wert thou to ask them who created them, they will surely say: God. Witherward then are they deviating!

And if you ask them who created them, they will surely say: "Allah". How then are they turned away (from the worship of Allah, Who created them)?

And if you asked them, “Who created them?”, they would say, “God.” Why then do they deviate?

If you were to ask them: “Who created them?” they will surely say: “Allah.” Whence are they, then, being led astray?

And if you ask them who created them, they will surely say: "Allah." How then are they turned away

And if you asked them who created them, they would surely say, "Allah." So how are they deluded?

(Muhammad), if you ask them, "Who had created the idols?" They will certainly say, "God has created them." Why do you then turn away from God?

And if you should ask them who created them, they would certainly say: Allah. Whence are they then turned back?

Wahiduddin Khan

And if you ask them who created them, they will surely say, God. How then are they turned away?

Yusuf Ali

If thou ask them, who created them, they will certainly say, Allah: How then are they deluded away (from the Truth)?

Transliteration

Walain saaltahum man khalaqahum layaqoolunna Allahu faanna yufakoona

وَقِيلِهِۦ يَـٰرَبِّ إِنَّ هَـٰٓؤُلَآءِ قَوْمٌ لَّا يُؤْمِنُونَ

43:88 — And [Allah acknowledges] his saying, "O my Lord, indeed these are a people who do not believe."

فَٱصْفَحْ عَنْهُمْ وَقُلْ سَلَـٰمٌ ۚ فَسَوْفَ يَعْلَمُونَ

43:89 — So turn aside from them and say, "Peace." But they are going to know.
