As-Saffat 37:36

إِنَّا كَذَٰلِكَ نَفْعَلُ بِٱلْمُجْرِمِينَ

37:34Indeed, that is how We deal with the criminals.

إِنَّهُمْ كَانُوٓا۟ إِذَا قِيلَ لَهُمْ لَآ إِلَـٰهَ إِلَّا ٱللَّهُ يَسْتَكْبِرُونَ

37:35Indeed they, when it was said to them, "There is no deity but Allah," were arrogant

وَيَقُولُونَ أَئِنَّا لَتَارِكُوٓا۟ ءَالِهَتِنَا لِشَاعِرٍ مَّجْنُونٍۭ

and said, "Should we give up our idols for the sake of an insane poet".
And to say: What! shall we indeed give up our gods for the sake of a mad poet?

and replied, "Shall we then give up our deities at the bidding of a mad poet?"

Yusuf Ali

And say: "What! shall we give up our gods for the sake of a Poet possessed?"

Transliteration

Wayaqooloona ainna latarikoo alihatina lishaAAirin majnoonin

بَلْ جَآءَ بِٱلْحَقِّ وَصَدَّقَ ٱلْمُرْسَلِينَ

37:37Rather, the Prophet has come with the truth and confirmed the [previous] messengers.

إِنَّكُمْ لَذَآئِقُوا۟ ٱلْعَذَابِ ٱلْأَلِيمِ

37:38Indeed, you [disbelievers] will be tasters of the painful punishment,
