Al-Qasas 28:40

وَقَالَ فِرْعَوْنُ يَـٰٓأَيُّهَا ٱلْمَلَأُ مَا عَلِمْتُ لَكُم مِّنْ إِلَـٰهٍ غَيْرِى فَأَوْقِدْ لِى يَـٰهَـٰمَـٰنُ عَلَى ٱلطِّينِ فَٱجْعَل لِّى صَرْحًا لَّعَلِّىٓ أَطَّلِعُ إِلَىٰٓ إِلَـٰهِ مُوسَىٰ وَإِنِّى لَأَظُنُّهُۥ مِنَ ٱلْكَـٰذِبِينَ

28:38 — And Pharaoh said, "O eminent ones, I have not known you to have a god other than me. Then ignite for me, O Haman, [a fire] upon the clay and make for me a tower that I may look at the God of Moses. And indeed, I do think he is among the liars."

وَٱسْتَكْبَرَ هُوَ وَجُنُودُهُۥ فِى ٱلْأَرْضِ بِغَيْرِ ٱلْحَقِّ وَظَنُّوٓا۟ أَنَّهُمْ إِلَيْنَا لَا يُرْجَعُونَ

28:39 — And he was arrogant, he and his soldiers, in the land, without right, and they thought that they would not be returned to Us.

فَأَخَذْنَـٰهُ وَجُنُودَهُۥ فَنَبَذْنَـٰهُمْ فِى ٱلْيَمِّ ۖ فَٱنظُرْ كَيْفَ كَانَ عَـٰقِبَةُ ٱلظَّـٰلِمِينَ

Ahmed Ali

So We seized him and his hordes and threw them into the sea. Behold then how was the end of the wicked!

Ahmed Raza Khan

We therefore seized him and his armies, and hurled them into the sea; therefore see what sort of fate befell the unjust!

Arberry

Therefore We seized him and his hosts, and cast their into the sea; so behold how was the end of the evildoers!

Daryabadi

Wherefore We laid hold of him and his hosts and cast them into the sea. So behold thou what like hath been the end of the wrong- doers!

Hilali & Khan

So We seized him and his hosts, and We threw them all into the sea (and drowned them). So behold (O Muhammad SAW) what was the end of the Zalimun [wrong-doers, polytheists and those who disbelieved in the Oneness of their Lord (Allah), or rejected the advice of His Messenger Musa (Moses)].

Itani

So We seized him, and his troops, and We threw them into the sea. Observe, therefore, what was the end of the oppressors.

Maududi

Eventually We seized him and his hosts and We flung them into the sea. So do see the end of the wrong-doers!

Mubarakpuri

So, We seized him and his armies, and We threw them all into the sea. So, behold what was the end of the wrongdoers.

Therefor We seized him and his hosts, and abandoned them unto the sea. Behold the nature of the consequence for evil-doers!

Therefore, We seized him and his hosts, and cast them into the sea. See how was the end of the harmdoers.

So We took him and his soldiers and threw them into the sea. So see how was the end of the wrongdoers.

Sarwar

We sized him and his army and threw them into the sea. See how terrible was the end of the unjust people!

Shakir

So We caught hold of him and his hosts, then We cast them into the sea, and see how was the end of the unjust.

Wahiduddin Khan

so We seized him and his hosts and cast them into the sea. Consider the fate of the wrongdoers.

Yusuf Ali

So We seized him and his hosts, and We flung them into the sea: Now behold what was the end of those who did wrong!

Transliteration

Faakhathnahu wajunoodahu fanabathnahum fee alyammi faonthur kayfa kana AAaqibatu alththalimeena

وَجَعَلْنَـٰهُمْ أَئِمَّةً يَدْعُونَ إِلَى ٱلنَّارِ ۖ وَيَوْمَ ٱلْقِيَـٰمَةِ لَا يُنصَرُونَ

28:41 — And We made them leaders inviting to the Fire, and on the Day of Resurrection they will not be helped.

وَأَتْبَعْنَـٰهُمْ فِى هَـٰذِهِ ٱلدُّنْيَا لَعْنَةً ۖ وَيَوْمَ ٱلْقِيَـٰمَةِ هُم مِّنَ ٱلْمَقْبُوحِينَ

28:42 — And We caused to overtake them in this world a curse, and on the Day of Resurrection they will be of the despised.
