Al-Kahf 18:11

أَمْ حَسِبْتَ أَنَّ أَصْحَـٰبَ ٱلْكَهْفِ وَٱلرَّقِيمِ كَانُوا۟ مِنْ ءَايَـٰتِنَا عَجَبًا

18:9 — Or have you thought that the companions of the cave and the inscription were, among Our signs, a wonder?

إِذْ أَوَى ٱلْفِتْيَةُ إِلَى ٱلْكَهْفِ فَقَالُوا۟ رَبَّنَآ ءَاتِنَا مِن لَّدُنكَ رَحْمَةً وَهَيِّئْ لَنَا مِنْ أَمْرِنَا رَشَدًا

18:10 — [Mention] when the youths retreated to the cave and said, "Our Lord, grant us from Yourself mercy and prepare for us from our affair right guidance."

فَضَرَبْنَا عَلَىٰٓ ءَاذَانِهِمْ فِى ٱلْكَهْفِ سِنِينَ عَدَدًا

We sealed off their ears in the cave for a number of years,

We then thumped upon their ears in the Cave for a number of years. (* Put them to sleep.)

Then We smote their ears many years in the Cave.

Then We sealed their ears in the cave for a number of years.

Therefore, We covered up their hearing in Al-Kahf for a number of years.

For many years We sealed up their hearing in the Cave,

So We cast [a cover of sleep] over their ears within the cave for a number of years.

Then We caused them to fall into a deep sleep for many years inside the cave.

Then We draw (a veil) over their ears, for a number of years, in the Cave, (so that they heard not):

Transliteration

Fadarabna AAala athanihim fee alkahfi sineena AAadadan

ثُمَّ بَعَثْنَـٰهُمْ لِنَعْلَمَ أَىُّ ٱلْحِزْبَيْنِ أَحْصَىٰ لِمَا لَبِثُوٓا۟ أَمَدًا

18:12 — Then We awakened them that We might show which of the two factions was most precise in calculating what [extent] they had remained in time.

نَّحْنُ نَقُصُّ عَلَيْكَ نَبَأَهُم بِٱلْحَقِّ ۚ إِنَّهُمْ فِتْيَةٌ ءَامَنُوا۟ بِرَبِّهِمْ وَزِدْنَـٰهُمْ هُدًى

18:13 — It is We who relate to you, [O Muhammad], their story in truth. Indeed, they were youths who believed in their Lord, and We increased them in guidance.
