Al-Furqan 25:62

وَإِذَا قِيلَ لَهُمُ ٱسْجُدُوا۟ لِلرَّحْمَـٰنِ قَالُوا۟ وَمَا ٱلرَّحْمَـٰنُ أَنَسْجُدُ لِمَا تَأْمُرُنَا وَزَادَهُمْ نُفُورًا ۩

25:60 — And when it is said to them, "Prostrate to the Most Merciful," they say, "And what is the Most Merciful? Should we prostrate to that which you order us?" And it increases them in aversion.

تَبَارَكَ ٱلَّذِى جَعَلَ فِى ٱلسَّمَآءِ بُرُوجًا وَجَعَلَ فِيهَا سِرَٰجًا وَقَمَرًا مُّنِيرًا

25:61 — Blessed is He who has placed in the sky great stars and placed therein a [burning] lamp and luminous moon.

وَهُوَ ٱلَّذِى جَعَلَ ٱلَّيْلَ وَٱلنَّهَارَ خِلْفَةً لِّمَنْ أَرَادَ أَن يَذَّكَّرَ أَوْ أَرَادَ شُكُورًا

Ahmed Ali

It is He who made the night and day an alternation for him who cares to reflect and be grateful.

And it is He Who created the alternation of the night and day for one who wishes to remember or intends to give thanks.

And it is He who made the night and day a succession for whom He desires to remember or He desires to be thankful.

And it is He Who hath appointed the night and the day a succession, for him who desireth to consider or desireth to be grateful.

And He it is Who has put the night and the day in succession, for such who desires to remember or desires to show his gratitude.

And it is He who made the night and the day alternate—for whoever desires to reflect, or desires to show gratitude.

He it is Who caused the night and the day to succeed each other so that everyone who desires may learn a lesson or become grateful.

it is He who has made night and day succeed each other, a sign for those who would take heed and would be grateful.

Yusuf Ali

And it is He Who made the Night and the Day to follow each other: for such as have the will to celebrate His praises or to show their gratitude.

Transliteration

Wahuwa allathee jaAAala allayla waalnnahara khilfatan liman arada an yaththakkara aw arada shukooran

وَعِبَادُ ٱلرَّحْمَـٰنِ ٱلَّذِينَ يَمْشُونَ عَلَى ٱلْأَرْضِ هَوْنًا وَإِذَا خَاطَبَهُمُ ٱلْجَـٰهِلُونَ قَالُوا۟ سَلَـٰمًا

25:63 — And the servants of the Most Merciful are those who walk upon the earth easily, and when the ignorant address them [harshly], they say [words of] peace,

وَٱلَّذِينَ يَبِيتُونَ لِرَبِّهِمْ سُجَّدًا وَقِيَـٰمًا

25:64 — And those who spend [part of] the night to their Lord prostrating and standing [in prayer]
