Al-Furqan 25:23

وَقَالَ ٱلَّذِينَ لَا يَرْجُونَ لِقَآءَنَا لَوْلَآ أُنزِلَ عَلَيْنَا ٱلْمَلَـٰٓئِكَةُ أَوْ نَرَىٰ رَبَّنَا ۗ لَقَدِ ٱسْتَكْبَرُوا۟ فِىٓ أَنفُسِهِمْ وَعَتَوْ عُتُوًّا كَبِيرًا

25:21 — And those who do not expect the meeting with Us say, "Why were not angels sent down to us, or [why] do we [not] see our Lord?" They have certainly become arrogant within themselves and [become] insolent with great insolence.

يَوْمَ يَرَوْنَ ٱلْمَلَـٰٓئِكَةَ لَا بُشْرَىٰ يَوْمَئِذٍ لِّلْمُجْرِمِينَ وَيَقُولُونَ حِجْرًا مَّحْجُورًا

25:22 — The day they see the angels - no good tidings will there be that day for the criminals, and [the angels] will say, "Prevented and inaccessible."

وَقَدِمْنَآ إِلَىٰ مَا عَمِلُوا۟ مِنْ عَمَلٍ فَجَعَلْنَـٰهُ هَبَآءً مَّنثُورًا

Ahmed Ali

We shall turn to their deeds and scatter them like particles of dust.

Ahmed Raza Khan

And We turned all the deeds they had performed into scattered floating specks of dust.

Arberry

We shall advance upon what work they have done, and make it a scattered dust.

Daryabadi

And We shall set upon that which they worked, and shall make it as dust wind-scattered.

Hilali & Khan

And We shall turn to whatever deeds they (disbelievers, polytheists, sinners, etc.) did, and We shall make such deeds as scattered floating particles of dust.

Itani

We will proceed to the works they did, and will turn them into scattered dust.

Maududi

Then We shall turn to what they had done and render it vain like scattered dust.

Mubarakpuri

And We shall turn to whatever deeds they did, and We shall make such deeds as scattered floating particles of dust.

Pickthall

And We shall turn unto the work they did and make it scattered motes.

Qarai

Then We shall attend to the works they have done and then turn them into scattered dust.

Qaribullah & Darwish

Then We shall advance upon the work which they have done and render it as scattered dust.

Saheeh International

And We will regard what they have done of deeds and make them as dust dispersed.

Sarwar

We shall call their deeds into Our presence and scatter them into the air as dust (turn them devoid of all virtue).

Shakir

And We will proceed to what they have done of deeds, so We shall render them as scattered floating dust.

Wahiduddin Khan

and We shall take all that they did and turn it into scattered dust.

Yusuf Ali

And We shall turn to whatever deeds they did (in this life), and We shall make such deeds as floating dust scattered about.

Transliteration

Waqadimna ila ma AAamiloo min AAamalin fajaAAalnahu habaan manthooran

أَصْحَـٰبُ ٱلْجَنَّةِ يَوْمَئِذٍ خَيْرٌ مُّسْتَقَرًّا وَأَحْسَنُ مَقِيلًا

25:24 — The companions of Paradise, that Day, are [in] a better settlement and better resting place.

وَيَوْمَ تَشَقَّقُ ٱلسَّمَآءُ بِٱلْغَمَـٰمِ وَنُزِّلَ ٱلْمَلَـٰٓئِكَةُ تَنزِيلًا

25:25 — And [mention] the Day when the heaven will split open with [emerging] clouds, and the angels will be sent down in successive descent.
