Ghafir 40:14

ذَٰلِكُم بِأَنَّهُۥٓ إِذَا دُعِىَ ٱللَّهُ وَحْدَهُۥ كَفَرْتُمْ ۖ وَإِن يُشْرَكْ بِهِۦ تُؤْمِنُوا۟ ۚ فَٱلْحُكْمُ لِلَّهِ ٱلْعَلِىِّ ٱلْكَبِيرِ

40:12 — [They will be told], "That is because, when Allah was called upon alone, you disbelieved; but if others were associated with Him, you believed. So the judgement is with Allah, the Most High, the Grand."

هُوَ ٱلَّذِى يُرِيكُمْ ءَايَـٰتِهِۦ وَيُنَزِّلُ لَكُم مِّنَ ٱلسَّمَآءِ رِزْقًا ۚ وَمَا يَتَذَكَّرُ إِلَّا مَن يُنِيبُ

40:13 — It is He who shows you His signs and sends down to you from the sky, provision. But none will remember except he who turns back [in repentance].

فَٱدْعُوا۟ ٱللَّهَ مُخْلِصِينَ لَهُ ٱلدِّينَ وَلَوْ كَرِهَ ٱلْكَـٰفِرُونَ

Ahmed Ali

So call on God with exclusive obedience, howsoever the unbelievers may dislike it.

Ahmed Raza Khan

Therefore worship Allah, as His sincere bondmen even if the disbelievers get annoyed.

Arberry

So call unto God, making your religion His sincerely, though the unbelievers be averse.

Daryabadi

Wherefore call Unto Allah, making religion for Him pure, though the infidels be averse.

Hilali & Khan

So, call you (O Muhammad SAW and the believers) upon (or invoke) Allah making (your) worship pure for Him (Alone) (by worshipping none but Him and by doing religious deeds sincerely for Allah's sake only and not to show-off and not to set up rivals with Him in worship). However much the disbelievers (in the Oneness of Allah) may hate (it).

Itani

So call upon God, with sincere devotion to Him, even though the disbelievers resent it.

Maududi

So call upon Allah, consecrating all your devotion to Him, howsoever much the unbelievers may dislike it.

Mubarakpuri

So, call you upon Allah making religion sincerely for Him, however much the disbelievers may hate.

Pickthall

Therefor (O believers) pray unto Allah, making religion pure for Him (only), however much the disbelievers be averse -

Qarai

So supplicate Allah, putting exclusive faith in Him, though the faithless should be averse.

Qaribullah & Darwish

Supplicate then to Allah making your religion sincerely His, even though the unbelievers oppose it.

Saheeh International

So invoke Allah, [being] sincere to Him in religion, although the disbelievers dislike it.

Sarwar

Worship God and be devoted to His religion even though the disbelievers dislike this.

Shakir

Therefore call upon Allah, being sincere to Him in obedience, though the unbelievers are averse:

Wahiduddin Khan

Therefore call upon God, making faith pure for Him, averse as the deniers of the truth may be to it:

Yusuf Ali

Call ye, then, upon Allah with sincere devotion to Him, even though the Unbelievers may detest it.

Transliteration

FaodAAoo Allaha mukhliseena lahu alddeena walaw kariha alkafiroona

رَفِيعُ ٱلدَّرَجَـٰتِ ذُو ٱلْعَرْشِ يُلْقِى ٱلرُّوحَ مِنْ أَمْرِهِۦ عَلَىٰ مَن يَشَآءُ مِنْ عِبَادِهِۦ لِيُنذِرَ يَوْمَ ٱلتَّلَاقِ

40:15 — [He is] the Exalted above [all] degrees, Owner of the Throne; He places the inspiration of His command upon whom He wills of His servants to warn of the Day of Meeting.

يَوْمَ هُم بَـٰرِزُونَ ۖ لَا يَخْفَىٰ عَلَى ٱللَّهِ مِنْهُمْ شَىْءٌ ۚ لِّمَنِ ٱلْمُلْكُ ٱلْيَوْمَ ۖ لِلَّهِ ٱلْوَٰحِدِ ٱلْقَهَّارِ

40:16 — The Day they come forth nothing concerning them will be concealed from Allah. To whom belongs [all] sovereignty this Day? To Allah, the One, the Prevailing.
