An-Nisa 4:67

فَلَا وَرَبِّكَ لَا يُؤْمِنُونَ حَتَّىٰ يُحَكِّمُوكَ فِيمَا شَجَرَ بَيْنَهُمْ ثُمَّ لَا يَجِدُوا۟ فِىٓ أَنفُسِهِمْ حَرَجًا مِّمَّا قَضَيْتَ وَيُسَلِّمُوا۟ تَسْلِيمًا

4:65 — But no, by your Lord, they will not [truly] believe until they make you, [O Muhammad], judge concerning that over which they dispute among themselves and then find within themselves no discomfort from what you have judged and submit in [full, willing] submission.

وَلَوْ أَنَّا كَتَبْنَا عَلَيْهِمْ أَنِ ٱقْتُلُوٓا۟ أَنفُسَكُمْ أَوِ ٱخْرُجُوا۟ مِن دِيَـٰرِكُم مَّا فَعَلُوهُ إِلَّا قَلِيلٌ مِّنْهُمْ ۖ وَلَوْ أَنَّهُمْ فَعَلُوا۟ مَا يُوعَظُونَ بِهِۦ لَكَانَ خَيْرًا لَّهُمْ وَأَشَدَّ تَثْبِيتًا

4:66 — And if We had decreed upon them, "Kill yourselves" or "Leave your homes," they would not have done it, except for a few of them. But if they had done what they were instructed, it would have been better for them and a firmer position [for them in faith].

وَإِذًا لَّـَٔاتَيْنَـٰهُم مِّن لَّدُنَّآ أَجْرًا عَظِيمًا

Ahmed Ali

And We would have bestowed on them a great reward of Our own,

And were it so, We would bestow upon them a great reward from Ourselves.

Arberry

and then We surely would have given them from Us a mighty wage,

And then We would surely have vouchsafed unto them from Our presence a mighty hire.

Hilali & Khan

And indeed We should then have bestowed upon them a great reward from Ourselves.

Itani

And We would have given them from Our presence a rich compensation.

Maududi

whereupon We would indeed grant them from Us a mighty reward,

Mubarakpuri

And indeed We would then have bestowed upon them a great reward from Ourselves.

And then We should bestow upon them from Our presence an immense reward,

Then We would surely have given them from Us a great reward,

Qaribullah & Darwish

and then We would surely have given them from Our Own, a great wage,

And then We would have given them from Us a great reward.

And then We would certainly have given them from Ourselves a great reward.

and We would have given them a great reward of Our own,

And We should then have given them from our presence a great reward;

Transliteration

Waithan laataynahum min ladunna ajran AAatheeman

وَلَهَدَيْنَـٰهُمْ صِرَٰطًا مُّسْتَقِيمًا

4:68 — And We would have guided them to a straight path.

وَمَن يُطِعِ ٱللَّهَ وَٱلرَّسُولَ فَأُو۟لَـٰٓئِكَ مَعَ ٱلَّذِينَ أَنْعَمَ ٱللَّهُ عَلَيْهِم مِّنَ ٱلنَّبِيِّـۧنَ وَٱلصِّدِّيقِينَ وَٱلشُّهَدَآءِ وَٱلصَّـٰلِحِينَ ۚ وَحَسُنَ أُو۟لَـٰٓئِكَ رَفِيقًا

4:69 — And whoever obeys Allah and the Messenger - those will be with the ones upon whom Allah has bestowed favor of the prophets, the steadfast affirmers of truth, the martyrs and the righteous. And excellent are those as companions.
