At-Tawbah 9:10

كَيْفَ وَإِن يَظْهَرُوا۟ عَلَيْكُمْ لَا يَرْقُبُوا۟ فِيكُمْ إِلًّا وَلَا ذِمَّةً ۚ يُرْضُونَكُم بِأَفْوَٰهِهِمْ وَتَأْبَىٰ قُلُوبُهُمْ وَأَكْثَرُهُمْ فَـٰسِقُونَ

9:8 — How [can there be a treaty] while, if they gain dominance over you, they do not observe concerning you any pact of kinship or covenant of protection? They satisfy you with their mouths, but their hearts refuse [compliance], and most of them are defiantly disobedient.

ٱشْتَرَوْا۟ بِـَٔايَـٰتِ ٱللَّهِ ثَمَنًا قَلِيلًا فَصَدُّوا۟ عَن سَبِيلِهِۦٓ ۚ إِنَّهُمْ سَآءَ مَا كَانُوا۟ يَعْمَلُونَ

9:9 — They have exchanged the signs of Allah for a small price and averted [people] from His way. Indeed, it was evil that they were doing.

لَا يَرْقُبُونَ فِى مُؤْمِنٍ إِلًّا وَلَا ذِمَّةً ۚ وَأُو۟لَـٰٓئِكَ هُمُ ٱلْمُعْتَدُونَ

Ahmed Ali

They have no regard for kinship or treaties with believers, for they are transgressors.

In respect of the Muslims, they do not keep regard for any relations nor any pacts; it is they who are the rebels.

observing neither bond nor treaty towards a believer; they are the transgressors.

They respect not either kinship or agreement in a believer: those! they are the transgressors!

With regard to a believer, they respect not the ties, either of kinship or of covenant! It is they who are the transgressors.

Towards a believer they respect neither kinship nor treaty. These are the transgressors.

They neither have any respect for kinship nor for agreement in respect of the believers. Such are indeed transgressors.

With regard to a believer, they respect not the ties, either of kinship or of covenant! It is they who are the transgressors.

They do not respect their promises nor their family ties with the believers. They are transgressors.

They do not pay regard to ties of relationship nor those of covenant in the case of a believer; and these are they who go beyond the limits.

Wahiduddin Khan

Where believers are concerned, they respect no tie of kinship or treaty. They are people who overstep the limits.

Yusuf Ali

In a Believer they respect not the ties either of kinship or of covenant! It is they who have transgressed all bounds.

Transliteration

La yarquboona fee muminin illan wala thimmatan waolaika humu almuAAtadoona

فَإِن تَابُوا۟ وَأَقَامُوا۟ ٱلصَّلَوٰةَ وَءَاتَوُا۟ ٱلزَّكَوٰةَ فَإِخْوَٰنُكُمْ فِى ٱلدِّينِ ۗ وَنُفَصِّلُ ٱلْـَٔايَـٰتِ لِقَوْمٍ يَعْلَمُونَ

9:11 — But if they repent, establish prayer, and give zakah, then they are your brothers in religion; and We detail the verses for a people who know.

وَإِن نَّكَثُوٓا۟ أَيْمَـٰنَهُم مِّنۢ بَعْدِ عَهْدِهِمْ وَطَعَنُوا۟ فِى دِينِكُمْ فَقَـٰتِلُوٓا۟ أَئِمَّةَ ٱلْكُفْرِ ۙ إِنَّهُمْ لَآ أَيْمَـٰنَ لَهُمْ لَعَلَّهُمْ يَنتَهُونَ

9:12 — And if they break their oaths after their treaty and defame your religion, then fight the leaders of disbelief, for indeed, there are no oaths [sacred] to them; [fight them that] they might cease.
